Seongbuk District, Hansung University Train Young AI Video Creators
Seoul's Seongbuk District and Hansung University have launched an eight-week AI video production academy for young adults. The program, running through December 19, aims to equip participants residing or working in the district with practical skills, from planning videos using generative artificial intelligence to developing revenue models for content creation.
The Seongbuk Youth AI Video Production Academy focuses on equipping young adults with a comprehensive skill set for digital content creation. The curriculum covers each stage of the video production process, starting with planning videos using generative artificial intelligence. This involves leveraging AI systems capable of producing new content to conceptualize, storyboard, or draft initial elements for video projects.
Beyond AI-driven planning, participants receive hands-on training in the practical aspects of video production and editing. A key component of the program also addresses "building revenue models," which indicates a focus on the entrepreneurial side of content creation. This suggests the academy aims to prepare individuals not just technically, but also with the business acumen needed to monetize their video content.
The program's broader objective is to enhance job and startup opportunities for young adults within the district. The district has also indicated plans to expand cooperation with local universities. This strategy aims to scale the development of practical digital content skills, potentially creating a more robust talent pipeline for local creative and tech industries.
