Expensify Taps Visa Referrals to Reach Corporate Cardholders
Expensify has signed a referral agreement with Visa, enabling Visa to direct eligible clients and corporate card programs to Expensify for expense management services. This arrangement allows businesses to connect their existing Visa corporate cards to Expensify for automated transaction synchronization, receipt matching, and expense reconciliation.
The agreement provides businesses with a new option to integrate their current Visa corporate card programs with Expensify's platform. This connection is designed to automate key aspects of expense management, including synchronizing transactions, matching receipts, and reconciling expenses directly from eligible Visa cards.
Expensify's platform employs AI to categorize expenses, enforce company-specific spending policies, and manage customizable spending limits. It also integrates with accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, aiming to offer a more streamlined and controlled approach to business spending.
According to Expensify's Head of Partnerships, Nick Tooker, the intent is for corporate cardholders to gain modern spend controls without having to forfeit their existing points, perks, or banking relationships. Edward Galvin, Vice President of North America Visa Commercial Solutions, noted this gives financial institutions and card programs an additional way to help businesses simplify expense management and improve spending visibility.
