Manus AI To Power OPPO’s AI Mind Pilot Feature On Find X10 Series
OPPO announced a collaboration with Manus AI to integrate agentic AI capabilities into its AI Mind Pilot feature, debuting in Agent Mode on the upcoming Find X10 Series with ColorOS 17. The system aims to automate multi-step tasks by understanding user goals and utilizing on-device files and online information.
The partnership between OPPO and Manus AI aims to move smartphone assistants beyond simple Q&A by enabling multi-step task automation. The Agent Mode will allow AI Mind Pilot to break down user requests, identify relevant information, select tools, and deliver finished results by working with local files and online content.
A key aspect of this integration is the claimed focus on privacy and user control. OPPO states that ColorOS 17 uses on-device models for local tasks, keeping original content on the device. For tasks requiring external processing, explicit user confirmation is sought before any content is uploaded or shared, giving users control over data access and actions.
This development represents an incremental step towards more capable on-device AI for consumer tasks. While the examples provided, such as travel planning or organizing photos, are common for demonstrating agentic AI, the emphasis on local processing for certain tasks and user consent for external data transfer could address some privacy concerns associated with advanced AI assistants.
