Honor 700 and 700 Pro Could Support a 200mm Teleconverter
Honor's upcoming 700 and 700 Pro smartphones are rumored to support a 200mm teleconverter, an external add-on designed to enhance the capture of distant subjects. This feature, typically found on flagship models, could extend optical reach beyond digital zoom, according to a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, ahead of an unconfirmed November launch in China.
Honor is reportedly preparing to introduce a 200mm teleconverter accessory for its forthcoming 700 and 700 Pro smartphone series. This add-on, as described in leaks, is intended to provide optical zoom capabilities, allowing users to photograph distant subjects with greater detail than what digital zoom alone can achieve. Such external lenses remain uncommon in the smartphone market, typically appearing on more premium devices.
The teleconverter is said to be compatible with both the standard Honor 700 and its Pro variant, potentially offering a distinguishing camera feature for the series. While the Pro model is also rumored to include a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, the standard model might rely on the external teleconverter to bridge its optical zoom gap. Other leaked specifications for the series include a large battery capacity of nearly 9,000mAh and a 6.57-inch OLED screen.
However, Honor has not officially confirmed these phones or any of their camera features, including the teleconverter. Key details such as the accessory's exact design, whether it will be bundled with the phone or sold separately, its cost, and its potential availability outside China remain unconfirmed. The series' launch in China during November is also based on leaks.
