    Krungsri Finnovate Joins Amity’s US$100 Million-Plus Series D

Krungsri Finnovate has joined Thai AI firm Amity’s Series D funding round, which totals more than US$100 million. The investment, made through the Finnoventure Private Equity Trust I fund, extends a round previously led by EDBI, part of Singapore’s SG Growth Capital, and co-led by Asia Partners and SMDV.

Krungsri Finnovate's investment in Thai AI firm Amity, part of a Series D round exceeding US$100 million, signals a focus on leveraging AI for practical applications. Amity develops AI platforms for retail, customer communications, and enterprise services, reporting over 10 million monthly active users across more than 20,000 organizations worldwide.

The companies are exploring commercial opportunities, including a preliminary data partnership with Amity’s subsidiary EGG Digital. This collaboration aims to develop AI-powered services for consumers and businesses. Amity's Executive Chairman, Korawad Chearavanont, described the investment as a validation of their growth momentum and local market presence, supporting long-term plans including a potential IPO.

This partnership could lead to new AI-driven financial services, potentially offering more personalized banking experiences for consumers or AI tools for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to optimize customer interactions and retail strategies. Palida Artispong of Krungsri Finnovate emphasized Amity's ability to apply AI practically, turning its expertise into solutions that enhance competitiveness.

While the intent to develop market-facing solutions is clear, the specific nature of this data partnership and the exact services to be developed remain undisclosed. This limits precise predictions about the outcomes or timelines for these planned offerings.
