DBS Takes Its AI Training Playbook to Singapore’s Finance Sector in Industry First
DBS Bank is partnering with the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) to enhance AI skills across Singapore’s financial sector. This collaboration marks IBF’s first such agreement with a financial institution. The initiative will develop IBF-recognised programs covering AI governance, responsible AI, prompt engineering, and practical applications. DBS will draw on its experience training 40,000 employees globally, including 14,800 in Singapore, to support workforce development, job redesign, and young talent programs. The bank has already upskilled over 11,000 employees whose roles have been significantly reshaped by AI.
DBS's partnership with IBF to scale AI training beyond its own workforce is a significant development for Singapore's financial services.
