Alibaba.com Launches Accio AI Platform For Malaysian SMEs At CoCreate Pitch 2026 Malaysia Final
Alibaba.com has launched Accio, an agentic AI platform for small and medium enterprises, in Malaysia. The platform's introduction occurred during the CoCreate Pitch 2026 Malaysia final in Kuala Lumpur, an event co-organized with MATRADE, marking Malaysia’s inaugural participation in the global startup competition.
Alibaba.com describes Accio as an intelligent agentic team designed to manage end-to-end business operations, covering market research, product planning, supplier sourcing, store management, and buyer outreach. This positioning suggests an aim to offer comprehensive AI assistance, and its natural-language interaction, requiring no programming expertise, indicates an effort to make the platform accessible to SMEs without technical backgrounds.
The CoCreate Pitch 2026 competition itself was structured around Accio, with participants using the AI agent to develop products, refine business concepts, and prepare pitch materials. This format provided a direct demonstration of Accio's capabilities, illustrating how lean entrepreneurial teams might use AI to work more efficiently across key operational areas.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Alibaba.com and MATRADE, formalized at the event, focuses on advancing digital trade and export readiness for Malaysian businesses. A key initiative from this partnership is the development of a dedicated Halal Pavilion on Alibaba.com, intended to showcase certified Malaysian Halal products to international buyers and support trade expansion.
