VinFast expands Metro Manila network with MOA e-motorcycle showroom
VinFast Philippines has opened its 36th electric motorcycle showroom at the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City, expanding its Metro Manila presence. The 125.30 sqm facility offers product consultations, test rides for Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models, battery-swapping, home-charging options, and after-sales services, according to the company.
VinFast's rapid expansion to 36 operational showrooms in the Philippines, just two months after market entry, highlights a strategy focused on broad physical accessibility. The company is not only establishing a direct presence in key urban centers like Metro Manila but is also building a network through 33 dealer partners, including New Nemar Development Corp., which operates the new MOA showroom and another in Lipa City, Batangas.
The 'all-in-one' showroom model, combining product display, charging solutions, and technical services, addresses practical concerns for potential electric motorcycle adopters. By offering direct consultations, test rides, and explanations of battery-swapping and home-charging, VinFast aims to reduce friction points for consumers considering a shift to electric mobility. This integrated approach can help demystify the ownership experience for new users.
The emphasis on a widespread partner network, spanning Luzon to Visayas and Mindanao, suggests VinFast is prioritizing market penetration over a more gradual, concentrated rollout. This approach aims to establish a strong foundational presence quickly, which could be critical for securing early market share in a developing electric vehicle market. Niño Fabros, CEO of VinFast E-Motorcycle Philippines, stated that this growing partnership network reflects dealer confidence in the VinFast ecosystem and the prospects for electric mobility.
The company's focus on urban users and the convenience of locations near transport hubs indicate a targeted effort to integrate electric motorcycles into daily commuter routines. By making products and services readily available in high-traffic areas, VinFast is attempting to capitalize on the existing transportation patterns in Philippine cities and encourage the adoption of greener alternatives.
