StanChart VCC Platform Tops US$2.6 Billion in AUM as It Adds Tenth Fund
Standard Chartered’s Variable Capital Company (VCC) platform reached over US$2.6 billion in assets under management (AUM) by June 2026. This milestone precedes the launch of its tenth sub-fund, the Signature Select Premium Cash Reserve Fund, managed by Insight Investment.
The growth of Standard Chartered's VCC platform to over US$2.6 billion in AUM within two years of its June 2024 establishment indicates a notable uptake for this investment structure. The platform has expanded its offerings across public and private markets, encompassing equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies, reflecting a broad approach to investment solutions.
The introduction of the Signature Select Premium Cash Reserve Fund, the fifth VCC fund launched by the bank in 2026, focuses on capital preservation and returns above cash holdings for accredited and professional investors. Its strategy to outperform the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) by investing in short-term fixed income and money market securities suggests a design for stability and daily liquidity.
The fund's availability across Standard Chartered’s wealth segments in Hong Kong, Singapore, and other regions, including the UAE, Jersey, Kenya, and Nigeria, shows a targeted expansion. This distribution aims to provide clients with more options to manage their cash holdings and build portfolios, as noted by Ayesha Abbas, Managing Director at Standard Chartered.
