ReadyServer includes AI model access with every VPS plan, without per-token billing
Singapore-based cloud and IT infrastructure provider ReadyServer has launched the ReadyServer LLM API, offering customers on any Virtual Private Server (VPS) plan access to hosted open AI models without additional cost or per-token billing. The API uses an OpenAI-compatible format and currently supports two Qwen models, Qwen3.6-27B and Qwen3.8-27B, accessible via the company’s private network.
ReadyServer’s approach integrates AI model access directly into its existing VPS offering, aiming to simplify the initial setup for developers building AI applications. Alan Woo, Chief Executive Officer of ReadyServer, stated that getting access to a model often introduces another service to set up and another usage bill to manage. By bundling model access, ReadyServer seeks to reduce this initial friction, making the first step simpler.
The service provides access to shared AI inference infrastructure, rather than dedicated GPU VPS instances for each customer. This model allows developers to leverage hosted models without the overhead of running a dedicated GPU server or installing models on their own servers. Applications on the VPS send requests to ReadyServer’s shared infrastructure, which handles the model inference. Woo noted this is a practical way for developers to start building.
While the service uses an OpenAI-compatible API format, the models themselves are open-weight Qwen models, not OpenAI's proprietary offerings. ReadyServer clarified that "OpenAI-compatible" describes the API format, enabling developers to use familiar tools and SDKs. The service operates under a fair-use policy without published token allowances or per-token charges. ReadyServer specified that shared capacity means clarity is needed on fair use and what happens when demand is high, with requests potentially queued and response times increasing.
