ASUS Malaysia has introduced new Zenbook 14, Vivobook S14, and S16 laptops, expanding its range of lightweight devices. The Zenbook 14 offers a broad choice of processors, including Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen AI, or Snapdragon X, while the Vivobook S14 and S16 exclusively feature the Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) chip.
A key distinction among these new models is their reported battery endurance. Intel-based Zenbook 14 configurations are equipped with a 70Wh battery, which ASUS claims provides over 21 hours of usage. In contrast, the AMD and Snapdragon variants of the Zenbook 14, along with both Vivobook S models, incorporate a smaller 50Wh battery.
Despite its smaller 50Wh battery, ASUS claims the Snapdragon X-powered Vivobook S14 and S16 can achieve up to 30 hours of battery life. This suggests a potential efficiency advantage for the Snapdragon X processor in these specific models, as a smaller battery capacity typically correlates with shorter operational times. The article does not specify claimed battery life for the AMD Zenbook 14 variants.
