GEEKOM to Showcase Local AI Computing, High-Performance Mini PCs and Ultralight Laptops at INDOCOMTECH 2026
GEEKOM, a global Mini PC brand, will showcase its A9 MEGA AI workstation and new laptop series at INDOCOMTECH 2026 in Jakarta from October 29 to November 1. The A9 MEGA features an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with 128GB unified memory, designed to run demanding AI models locally without cloud reliance.
GEEKOM's A9 MEGA AI workstation emphasizes "local AI computing," a concept described as enabling demanding AI models to operate directly on the device rather than through cloud infrastructure. This approach is facilitated by the integration of powerful CPU and GPU capabilities, along with a significant 128GB of unified memory. The company states this allows developers, creators, and businesses to run AI applications like coding assistance, document analysis, and intelligent assistants within their own environment.
The primary reported advantages of this local execution are enhanced control over sensitive data and potential reductions in computing costs. By processing AI models on-device, the reliance on third-party cloud services for data handling is lessened, which may address privacy concerns. Furthermore, avoiding continuous cloud service fees could lead to cost efficiencies for users and organizations.
Alongside the A9 MEGA workstation, GEEKOM's showcase at INDOCOMTECH 2026 also includes a range of AMD and Intel-powered Mini PCs, catering to diverse performance and budget requirements. The company will also present its X and M laptop series, offering 14-inch and 16-inch models with processors such as the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, aiming to balance performance with portability and affordability for various professional and everyday uses.
