DXC Advances Intelligent Insurance Through Platform Innovation, Workflow Modernization and London Market Investment
DXC Technology announced investments and expanded capabilities for its Assure Platform, aiming to help insurers modernize operations and integrate AI without disrupting existing systems. Unveiled at a London forum, these initiatives include enhanced workflow modernization, platform innovation, and specific investments in the London insurance market.
DXC's strategy focuses on enabling insurers to adopt AI and modernize operations while maintaining stability in their core systems. The Assure Platform, designed with a 'Protect, Extend, Transform' approach, offers services, integrations, and AI capabilities, emphasizing governance and human oversight to manage the inherent risks of new technology adoption in a regulated industry.
A key component is the expansion of Assure Smart Apps, which are designed to automate tasks and improve decision-making across the insurance lifecycle. These apps can be deployed incrementally to address specific business priorities, allowing insurers to demonstrate value before wider implementation. DXC reports that Smart Apps have facilitated over 750,000 automated transactions and supported more than 450 insurers through 18 new customers in the past year.
The company is also strengthening its presence in the London Market, integrating Assure Platform capabilities with specialist tools from the London Market Core Platform (LMCP). This aims to improve connectivity, visibility, and operational control for brokers and insurers, suggesting a focus on enhancing critical workflow management within this specific, complex market. The intent is to modernize processes while preserving the reliability essential to market participants.
