AerosoarX, UFORCE sign MOU on supply chain cooperation
Taiwan's AerosoarX and Ukrainian uncrewed systems company UFORCE have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore supply chain cooperation. The agreement aims to leverage Taiwan's technology and manufacturing capabilities to help UFORCE diversify component suppliers and build a more resilient supply chain, AerosoarX stated.
The collaboration targets a global challenge for the uncrewed vehicle industry: limited access to crucial components and reliance on a narrow base of suppliers. AerosoarX chairman Lo Cheng-fang highlighted these difficulties in securing reliable supplies worldwide. For UFORCE, which develops uncrewed platforms for maritime, land, and aerial applications, alongside AI software and command-and-control systems, diversifying its supply chain could be vital for operational stability.
AerosoarX intends to provide UFORCE access to Taiwan’s semiconductor, electronic component, communications, and precision manufacturing industries. This access is designed to help UFORCE secure the specialized parts required for its advanced uncrewed systems and associated AI technologies. The initiative aligns with AerosoarX's strategy to build international partnerships through Taiwan's technological strengths, supporting the broader uncrewed vehicle sector.
By connecting UFORCE with a wider range of Taiwanese manufacturers, the agreement seeks to enhance UFORCE's ability to source essential components. This framework is intended to allow UFORCE to build a more flexible supply chain, potentially reducing its vulnerability to disruptions and supporting the development of its diverse product lines.
