Salesforce Launches First Partner FDE Training in Korea
Salesforce has launched its first Partner Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) training program in South Korea. The workshop in Seoul trained 44 engineers and consultants from 11 local partners, focusing on designing, building, and operating AI agents for business use. This initiative aims to strengthen local capabilities for AI agent deployment.
Salesforce's FDE program addresses a practical challenge in AI adoption: moving beyond pilot projects to integrate AI agents into core business operations. By training local systems integrators and consulting partners, Salesforce is investing in the on-the-ground expertise required to tailor AI solutions to specific client needs, covering everything from initial design to ongoing optimization and data security.
The program's structure, which requires participants to complete roughly 80 hours of technical study and obtain professional certifications before the workshop, and then pass a final practical assignment, indicates a focus on deep technical proficiency. This approach suggests that Salesforce recognizes the complexity of deploying AI agents effectively and is prioritizing a high standard of technical readiness among its partners.
The content of the three-day workshop, which included AI agent design with Agentforce and Slack, data analysis with Tableau Next, and critical operational requirements like data security and governance, highlights the multifaceted nature of successful AI agent integration. It acknowledges that effective deployment extends beyond mere functionality to include data handling, performance measurement, and robust operational safeguards.
Salesforce's "Agentic Enterprise" strategy, introduced at Dreamforce 2026, positions this training as a method to ensure AI agent adoption translates into measurable business results rather than remaining in experimental phases. The company's goal to train over 100 specialists in South Korea next year, building on the 1,000 specialists already certified globally, reflects a concerted effort to scale this capability within its partner network.
