Sacombank Upgrades Its Banking System With Temenos and IBM
Vietnam’s Sacombank has upgraded its core banking infrastructure, moving from an on-premises system to a hybrid cloud environment. The bank adopted the latest version of the Temenos Core Banking platform, running on Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Power infrastructure. This upgrade supports millions of customers and handles 13 million transactions daily. Temenos reports a 200% improvement in application performance and a 50% reduction in Sacombank’s server footprint. Sacombank also selected Temenos Payments Hub to enhance its cross-border payment capabilities.
Sacombank’s shift to a hybrid cloud model using Temenos, IBM, and Red Hat OpenShift marks a significant step for Vietnamese banking. The reported 200% performance improvement and 50% server footprint reduction demonstrate tangible benefits for a system processing 13 million daily transactions.
