Revolut: 300 SG jobs to be offered as the London-headquartered company commits S$350M to Singapore expansion
Revolut plans to invest nearly S$350 million in Singapore over five years, expanding its workforce from about 170 to over 300 employees within three years. The fintech firm will open its first permanent Singapore office in early 2027 at Collyer Quay Centre, signaling a long-term commitment to the city as a base for wider Asian expansion.
Revolut's investment in Singapore covers product development, business growth, and workforce expansion, with new roles in engineering, product development, data, and artificial intelligence. The company plans to maintain its workforce mix, with 70% Singaporeans and other local staff, and 30% foreign employees. The Singapore Economic Development Board views this expansion as a way to strengthen the local fintech sector and offer skill-building opportunities for local talent.
The move indicates Revolut's strategy to deepen its presence beyond its initial multi-currency payment services. The company aims for customers to use its platform for daily financial needs, positioning it against digital banks and payment apps. Its approach includes subscription plans, such as the Ultra tier, which it states offers S$10,000 in annualised lifestyle value through partner benefits, to attract and retain users.
Reported activity from 2025 and 2026 suggests growing domestic demand for Revolut's services in Singapore. Domestic transaction volumes increased by over 30% in 2025, while peer-to-peer payment volumes rose by almost 40%. Virtual card usage and the number of wealth and trading customers each increased by more than 55%. Business services also saw growth, with the Singapore business-customer base growing fivefold in 2025, and corporate deposit, transfer, and merchant card payment volumes tripling and increasing tenfold, respectively, from August 2025 to August 2026.
