Hamco to Launch Pan-Asia Private Equity Fund Natively On-Chain powered by Chainlink and Synthesys
Hamco launched a new tokenized private equity fund for Pan-Asia. The fund offers fractionalized exposure to private markets in AI, semiconductors, and pre-IPO unicorns. It aims to provide liquidity through tokenized funds, stablecoins, and other liquid assets. The fund is structured in the Cayman Islands and uses Chainlink's CCIP and Synthesys Network for distribution.
Hamco's new fund addresses a core problem for private equity: liquidity. By integrating tokenized money markets and stablecoins, the fund enables near real-time on-chain fund management. This structure allows the fund to meet redemption demands that traditional PE structures cannot, a significant shift for an asset class known for illiquidity.
Accessing hard-to-reach Asian private markets will benefit a broader investor base. Companies in AI and semiconductors across Asia are staying private longer. This means much of their value creation happens before IPO. Hamco's fund allows investors to access this growth earlier, rather than buying into the end of a growth story.
The test for this model will be its ability to maintain liquidity in a downturn. While the fund engineers liquidity from various tokenized instruments, market stress could challenge redemption mechanisms. Watch whether similar tokenized PE funds emerge from other major asset managers by late 2027.
