Exynos 2700 scores 15-20% higher than Snapdragon 8EE Gen 6 inside a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in Geekbench tests

Samsung's upcoming Exynos 2700 chip has reportedly shown promising internal benchmark results, scoring 15-20% higher than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in multi-core CPU tests and leading in graphics performance, according to a South Korean outlet.

Internal benchmarks for Samsung's Exynos 2700 chip indicate a notable performance advantage over Qualcomm's competing mobile processors. In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core tests, the Exynos 2700 reportedly achieved around 13,000 points, a 20% lead over the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which scored closer to 11,000. This lead narrowed slightly to 15% in Geekbench 7.0, but grew to 36-44% when compared against the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

Graphics performance also showed a lead, with the Exynos 2700 outperforming Qualcomm’s top chip by approximately 20% in peak performance tests. For more common heavy 3D gaming, this advantage was about 5%. The chip is slated for mass production using Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2 nm process (SF2P), with Samsung also developing improved heatsink packaging to manage thermals and sustain performance.

These early results suggest Samsung is making a concerted effort to enhance its in-house silicon. If the Exynos 2700 can maintain such competitive performance, it could enable Samsung to more consistently integrate its own chips across the Galaxy S27 series, potentially reducing its reliance on Qualcomm for flagship devices, a shift from previous models like the Galaxy S26.

However, these figures are derived from Samsung’s own internal benchmarks, not independent third-party evaluations. The reported numbers do not guarantee equivalent real-world performance, thermal stability under extended use, or battery life once actual Galaxy S27 units are released.
