The company, which operates independently since 2024, provides digital payment, fintech, and digitalization services globally, with a strong network across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Additionally, Rize, a sustainable rice platform also based in Singapore, closed a USD 31 million Series B round to scale its operations in Vietnam and Indonesia, promoting eco-friendly farming practices and improving farmer incomes. Whale, an enterprise AI company, added USD 40 million to its Series C funding, bringing the total to USD 100 million, to expand its AI operating system that connects digital and physical business activities across various sectors globally.
The diverse funding rounds highlighted in this report underscore a robust and dynamic Asian tech investment landscape, with significant capital flowing into fintech, cybersecurity, sustainable agriculture, and enterprise AI. Ant International's substantial Series A round signals continued investor confidence in large-scale Chinese fintech ventures with global ambitions, particularly in enhancing payment interoperability and supporting cross-border commerce. This move is strategic, positioning Ant International to capitalize on the growing demand for seamless digital financial services worldwide, leveraging its AI capabilities to serve SMEs and larger enterprises.
Simultaneously, the investments in pQCee and Whale reflect the increasing importance of specialized technological solutions. pQCee's funding for quantum-safe cybersecurity addresses a critical emerging threat, demonstrating Asia's commitment to future-proofing digital infrastructure. Whale's expanded Series C funding for its enterprise AI operating system highlights the growing adoption of AI to bridge the gap between digital systems and physical operations, offering sophisticated solutions for compliance, customer service, and workflow automation across various industries.
