Beyond Generative AI: CATL and Aramco Ventures Bet on DeepCtrls to Power AI's Second Act in the Physical World
DeepCtrls has closed its Series B+ financing round. CATL led the investment, with Aramco Ventures also participating. Existing investors Source Code Capital and Forebright Capital increased their stakes. The funding will support DeepCtrls' PhyAI™ Physical AI Engine, which optimizes energy and computing infrastructure for enterprise customers. DeepCtrls serves hundreds of clients across semiconductor, new energy, advanced manufacturing, and data center industries.
DeepCtrls' Series B+ round, led by CATL, reflects a critical shift for AI. The focus is now moving beyond generative models to physical world applications. Physical AI, as DeepCtrls calls it, connects computing and energy infrastructure. This allows for real-time control of complex systems. The company already serves major customers like Tencent, ByteDance, NVIDIA, and TSMC across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
The investment from CATL and Aramco Ventures holds specific significance for Asia. CATL, a global new energy leader, is deepening its collaboration with DeepCtrls. This strengthens China's position in advanced industrial AI. Aramco Ventures' involvement points to expanding Physical AI applications in the Middle East's energy sector. This could accelerate digital transformation for national oil companies and regional industrial players.
The key thing to watch is DeepCtrls' expansion into AI infrastructure. Its solutions include intelligent liquid cooling and computing-energy coordination. Success here will determine if Physical AI can truly become the control layer for the AI era. If DeepCtrls can scale these deployments effectively, it will define a new category of AI infrastructure optimization.
