Apple TV, Arcade now included with iCloud Plus in India
Apple is bundling Apple TV and Apple Arcade into its iCloud Plus plans in India. This change applies across all iCloud+ storage tiers, starting at Rs 75 per month for the 50GB plan. The company has stopped new Apple One sign-ups and standalone subscriptions for these two services. Existing Apple One subscribers can maintain their current plans, but new customers will access these services through iCloud+.

This change also simplifies Apple’s service offerings by removing standalone options for these two services. For the Indian market, this consolidation could drive more users into Apple’s paid services. It makes the iCloud+ proposition more attractive without increasing the price point. The real test is whether this drives significant uptake beyond existing iCloud users. It also closes off a potential revenue stream from standalone subscriptions, betting on volume from the bundle.
The thing to watch is Apple’s rollout to over 100 countries by the end of September. If India shows strong iCloud+ growth, expect similar bundling in other emerging markets. This could reshape how Apple sells services globally, prioritizing ecosystem integration over individual service sales.
