Acemagic unveils F9A Mini PC with Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495, 192GB LPDDR5X unified memory & OCuLink
Acemagic unveiled its F9A AI mini workstation at IFA 2026 in Berlin, featuring AMD's new Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor. This updated mini PC supports up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 unified memory, allowing up to 160GB to be assigned as VRAM. The system is designed for heavy local AI workloads, including running large language models like the 284-billion parameter DeepSeek V4 Flash model directly on the device. It includes a 16-core Zen 5 CPU, Radeon 8065S integrated graphics, and an XDNA 2 NPU providing 55 TOPS, for a total of 131 TOPS compute performance. The device also features an OCuLink interface for external graphics cards, two 40Gbps USB4 ports, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The Acemagic F9A AI mini workstation, with its Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor and 192GB of unified memory, offers a compelling option for developers in Asia looking to run large language models locally. The ability to assign up to 160GB as VRAM in a compact 2-liter form factor significantly lowers the barrier to entry for AI development, potentially reducing reliance on expensive cloud servers or large desktop rigs. This could accelerate AI innovation among smaller teams and startups across markets like Singapore, South Korea, and India, where access to high-performance local compute is a differentiator. While the F9A's 131 TOPS of total compute performance is substantial for a mini PC, the lack of official pricing and release date for the Pro 495 version introduces uncertainty. The OCuLink interface for external GPUs is a notable addition, offering a direct pathway for future performance scaling. However, the practical availability and cost of compatible external GPUs will be a key factor for its adoption in Asian markets, where developers often prioritize cost-efficiency.
