XPENG Launches the G9L Next-Gen AI Flagship SUV in Europe, Debuts NGP and Expands Global Technology Collaboration at 2026 Paris Motor Show
XPENG has launched its G9L Next-Gen AI Flagship SUV in Europe, with French pricing starting from €74,990. The company also debuted its Next Generation Pilot (NGP) advanced driving system, powered by VLA 2.0, for large-scale test rides in Europe and announced new opportunities for technology collaboration with global partners.
XPENG's European expansion with the G9L SUV and NGP system marks a practical application of its "Physical AI" vision. The G9L, set to be manufactured in Europe following a production trial with Magna, integrates advanced safety features, luxury seating, and an 800V architecture with rapid charging. This indicates a focus on tailoring its flagship offering to European market preferences, moving beyond simple product import.
The introduction of NGP, powered by proprietary Turing AI chips and VLA 2.0, is significant for its claimed ability to understand and predict road scenarios up to six seconds ahead. Its public test-ride appearance in Europe, alongside Tesla in the Autonomous Lab at the Paris Motor Show, positions XPENG as a direct competitor in the advanced driver-assistance system space, particularly as it aims to meet UNECE UN Regulation No. 171, Series 02.
Beyond product launches, XPENG is opening its AI and vehicle engineering solutions for overseas technical collaboration. This shift from solely selling vehicles to also offering its underlying technology for partnership suggests a broader strategy to embed its "Physical AI" architecture more deeply into the global automotive and tech sectors, potentially accelerating its technological influence through shared development.
