    Suzuki adds Shadow to Raider

Suzuki Philippines has introduced the Raider R150 Shadow Edition motorcycle to the local market for P127,000. This new version offers Solid Black and Pearl Bright Ivory color options, focusing on appearance and owner personalization while retaining the same 147cc engine and core equipment as the Raider R150 Blade Edition.

The new Raider R150 Shadow Edition is priced P3,000 less than the Raider R150 Blade Edition, despite sharing identical engine specifications and basic equipment. Both models feature a 147cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-valve single-cylinder engine delivering 18.1hp, a six-speed manual transmission, and the Suzuki Clutch Assist System. This system is reported to reduce clutch lever effort and limit engine braking during aggressive downshifts.

Suzuki's approach for the Shadow Edition emphasizes aesthetic customization. It is offered in plain colors, a design choice intended to allow owners to personalize their motorcycles. To support this, Suzuki has prepared optional Pintados and Sarimanok decal sets, priced at P990 each, which draw on traditional Filipino cultural motifs as an alternative to common racing stripes.

The Shadow Edition maintains the same physical specifications as the Blade Edition, including a 112kg curb weight and a direct-current electrical system, which Suzuki states provides steadier voltage for electrical components. A USB charging port is listed as an accessory for the Shadow Edition, differentiating it from the separate Raider PRO model where it is a built-in feature.
