PanIIT summit to position AP as DeepTech hub
Andhra Pradesh will host the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit-2026 on October 3 in Vijayawada, aiming to establish the state as a DeepTech and emerging-technology hub. The event, organized by PanIIT Alumni India, will bring together IITs, industry leaders, investors, startups, and policymakers. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and HRD, IT, and electronics minister Nara Lokesh are scheduled to attend. Discussions will focus on AI, semiconductors, quantum technology, aerospace and defense, green energy, data centers, MedTech, AgriTech, and skill development, with a goal to foster partnerships for research, innovation, and investment in the state.

The state is leveraging its IIT network and government support to position itself in AI, semiconductors, and quantum technology. The focus on converting partnerships into tangible research, investments, and employment opportunities for Andhra Pradesh's youth is a critical component. While the summit brings together key stakeholders like NXP Semiconductors India MD Hitesh Garg and IBM CTO Amit Singhi, the challenge will be to move beyond discussions and secure concrete commitments that translate into new industries and jobs, aligning with the state's Swarnandhra-2047 vision.
