oToBrite Teams Up with SINTRONES at APTA EXPO 2026 to Deliver a Comprehensive Bus Safety Solution
oToBrite Electronics will present its latest safety technologies for intelligent buses and heavy commercial vehicles at APTA TRANSform & EXPO 2026 in Chicago. The offerings include the oToGuard 2.0 Level 2+ ADAS, the SafeZone anti-pinch system, and various GMSL2™ camera modules. The company is also collaborating with SINTRONES to integrate vision-AI 3D perception with Edge AI computing for a comprehensive bus safety solution.
oToBrite's participation at APTA EXPO 2026 centers on its Vision AI solutions designed to enhance safety for public transport and heavy commercial vehicles. Key among these is oToGuard 2.0, which combines surround view with Level 0 to Level 2+ Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions. This system aims to mitigate risks through features like blind spot information, moving object detection, driver monitoring, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and lane change assist, addressing both internal and external vehicle safety.
Another notable offering is SafeZone, a vision AI system for bus doors recognized with a CES 2026 Innovation Award. It uses real-time passenger detection to help reduce door-related injuries. The company also highlights its compact 3D stereo cameras, which feature sub-1 microsecond hardware-level Global Shutter synchronization, 120 dB HDR with a monochrome sensor, factory pre-calibration, and IP69K protection. These cameras, with 60 mm and 120 mm baseline versions, deliver high-accuracy 3D depth perception within 6 meters and 20 meters, respectively.
The collaboration with SINTRONES involves integrating oToBrite's GMSL2™ stereo cameras and Vision AI SDK, oToVision, with SINTRONES' IBOX-604-G2 ultra-lightweight industrial Edge AI computer. This partnership aims to provide an integrated Edge AI computing and 3D visual perception solution. The combined offering is presented as a means to accelerate the development of intelligent buses and next-generation mobility platforms, suggesting a focus on providing integrated hardware and software for developers in the commercial vehicle sector.
