MSIG Asia Appoints Ronak Shah as Regional CEO
MSIG Asia has announced the appointment of Ronak Shah as its new Regional Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Shah will take over from Clemens Philippi, who was promoted to Co-Chief Strategy Officer of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings in April 2026 to spearhead the group’s international business strategy. In his new role, Shah will be responsible for overseeing MSIG’s extensive operations across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, India, and Oceania, with additional oversight extending to Mainland China, Taiwan, and Korea. His mandate includes defining regional direction, advancing strategic priorities, and enhancing business performance across these diverse markets. Shah brings over two decades of insurance industry experience from Asia and North America, having previously served as CEO of Wholesale Markets Asia at QBE Asia.
