Meta’s Muse AI Agent Arrives in Singapore With Grab, Shopee and More

Meta has launched its personal AI agent, Muse, in Singapore, offering users a tool to manage everyday tasks across shopping, travel, and productivity applications. The agent integrates with services like Gmail, Google Calendar, Instagram, Shopee, Grab, and Singapore Airlines, with features rolling out gradually.

Meta's Muse AI agent aims to streamline various digital interactions by connecting to a range of popular services. For instance, users can compare prices across Shopee and Lazada, shop for groceries via GrabMart, or explore travel bookings on platforms like Singapore Airlines and Agoda. This approach seeks to centralize common tasks that typically require navigating multiple applications.

A central design element of Muse, as reported, is its method for handling sensitive user data. The agent operates on a cloud-based system called Muse Secure VM, which is stated to store login credentials and data for connected services. This system is described as not exposing passwords or payment details directly to the AI agent itself, aiming to create a separation between the AI's processing and core sensitive information.

Meta also highlights user control over the AI agent's access and actions. Users are reportedly able to choose which services Muse can connect to and must provide explicit approval for sensitive operations, such as sending emails or making purchases. This mechanism is intended to provide a layer of user oversight for critical actions performed by the AI.
