Atome Financial Revenue Jumps 80% to Record US$470 Million
Atome Financial, a Singapore-based digital financial services company, reported an 80% surge in revenue to a record US$470 million in 2025, marking its second consecutive year of pre-tax profitability. The company also saw a 52% increase in total operating income, reaching US$360 million, with gross merchandise volume exceeding US$4 billion, up over 60%. This growth is attributed to an expanding loan book, strategic merchant partnerships, new product launches, and AI-driven operational efficiencies across its buy now, pay later (BNPL), card, lending, and insurance products in Southeast Asia. The positive momentum continued into 2026, with annualized net revenue hitting US$800 million and annualized gross merchandise volume surpassing US$6 billion by June.
Atome Financial's robust growth underscores the burgeoning potential of digital financial services in Southeast Asia, particularly in the BNPL and lending sectors. The company's strategic emphasis on AI-driven operational efficiencies highlights a broader trend within the fintech industry to leverage advanced technologies for scalability and profitability. This approach not only optimizes internal processes but also enhances customer experience and risk management, crucial factors in competitive markets.
The expansion of Atome's funding base, including a significant facility from Asia United Bank in the Philippines and an upsized syndicated facility, signals strong investor confidence in its business model and regional expansion strategy. The success of its PayLater Anywhere Card, particularly in the Philippines and its recent launch in Malaysia, demonstrates the increasing demand for accessible credit solutions and the effectiveness of localized product offerings in diverse Asian markets. This trajectory positions Atome as a key player in shaping the future of financial inclusion and digital payments across the region.
