This event is a discussion, not a seminar or lecture, exploring the intersection of AI and mental health. No prior expertise is required, only curiosity and a willingness to engage. Participants are asked to complete required reading beforehand to ensure a shared understanding for the discussion. The session will explore questions such as where AI can genuinely help in mental health, where human care should remain central, and how to approach trust, responsibility, and safety, particularly within the Singapore context. It is the first Paper Club by the AI in Mental Health Spaces Community of Practice, designed to be highly participatory with whole-group discussions and small breakout conversations. The goal is to create a space for people from different backgrounds to thoughtfully explore the topic.
