Tokyo Event: No Longer Just "AI/DX Transformation" - HAKOBUNE Kurishima Reveals All About "AI-Native VC" Operations 2026
HAKOBUNE's Founding Partner, Yusuke Kurishima, will reveal the full operational details of their "AI-Native VC" in Tokyo, showcasing advanced AI utilization beyond simple tool implementation, including automated investment workflows and an LLM-powered knowledge base. This event is for VC/CVC investment managers and corporate new business/AI promotion leads.
This is the Tokyo edition of the event held at IVS@Kyoto. Those who participated in Kyoto and wish to review are also welcome. This is an updated version of the event from last year, where HAKOBUNE, dubbed "Japan's most AI/DX-advanced (?) VC," publicly shared the behind-the-scenes of its investment operations. In the past year, HAKOBUNE's AI utilization has moved beyond tool implementation to achieve automation of the investment workflow and cross-functional operation of its knowledge base. The actual operation screens, code, and workflows will be shown. The content to be presented includes: complete automation of the 6-step investment workflow, showing how the semi-automated flow from last year now operates with minimal human intervention; a sourcing automation engine that integrates collection from PR TIMES, National Tax Agency API, etc., scoring, cross-checking with an existing database (over 15,000 entries), and automatic registration; an LLM Wiki-type knowledge base that structures interviews, memos, and hypotheses into tiers, used for automatic preparation before investor meetings and thought expansion; the design philosophy, explaining why "data normalization" is the starting point for everything; and examples of unsuccessful initiatives and failures. This event is for investment managers at VCs/CVCs and those in charge of investment, new business, or AI promotion at operating companies. Startup participants, individual participants, and those with sales objectives are asked to refrain from attending. Photography and recording are prohibited. Instead, if there is a need, individual sharing sessions will be held.
