OpenAI and Sea are partnering to invest in Southeast Asia's AI ecosystem through the Regional Sea x OpenAI Codex Hackathon. This intensive one-day event is designed for experienced builders, engineers, and founders who are comfortable using AI coding tools to ship production-grade code. Participants will focus on three main directions: Autonomous & Adaptive AI, AI-Native Products & Operations, and Deep Domain AI. The event features high-profile guests including David Chen (CPO, Shopee) and Oliver Jay (Managing Director, OpenAI). Teams of 3-4 members will compete for prizes including up to $30,000 in OpenAI API credits and ChatGPT Pro subscriptions. The hackathon involves a full day of building, followed by two rounds of judging and finalist presentations.
