AI for Meetings — Prep, Notes & Follow-ups
Get your 4 hours back. Walk in prepared, leave with clean actions.
4 hours of your week. Gone.
No clear actions. Everyone leaves with a different version of what was decided. The meeting that could have been an email — except it wasn't, and now you have to schedule another one to fix it. AI fixes the before, during, and after. This module gives you one prompt for each.
AI before, during, and after every meeting
Pre-meeting brief: Give AI the meeting topic and ask it to summarise the last decisions made, open questions still unresolved, and context you need to contribute. Arrive prepared in 90 seconds.
Live note structure: Paste raw notes into AI and extract decisions, action items with owners and deadlines, and one open question still unresolved. Structured output in under a minute.
Follow-up draft: One prompt, the moment the meeting ends — draft the recap email before you've left the room.
Pick the better post-meeting summary prompt
'Summarise the meeting' gives AI no format, no role, no structure. The better prompt specifies role (executive assistant), structure (decisions, actions with owners, open questions), tone, and length. A template is worth more than length every time.
Build a pre-meeting brief prompt
The best briefing prompts enforce length constraints and exclude everything that doesn't need to be there. Good tiles: role as chief of staff, last 3 decisions, open questions to raise, under 100 words, meeting attendees. Distractor tiles: 'be thorough', 'include everything', 'write a long brief' — vague and length-heavy instructions produce briefs no one reads.
Meeting prep. Action capture. Follow-up writing.
Three prompts. Every meeting, from now on. These three skills compound — the more meetings you run them through, the sharper your reputation for clarity and follow-through gets. Try the pre-meeting brief on your next call today.
