'Summarise the meeting' gives AI no format, no role, no structure. The better prompt specifies role (executive assistant), structure (decisions, actions with owners, open questions), tone, and length. A template is worth more than length every time.
Build a pre-meeting brief prompt
The best briefing prompts enforce length constraints and exclude everything that doesn't need to be there. Good tiles: role as chief of staff, last 3 decisions, open questions to raise, under 100 words, meeting attendees. Distractor tiles: 'be thorough', 'include everything', 'write a long brief' — vague and length-heavy instructions produce briefs no one reads.
