Through Qiyuan, Swancor wants to make personal robots widely affordable
Swancor Advanced Materials, a company that shifted its focus from industrial materials to new materials and embodied intelligence after a change in control in November 2025, has announced its entry into the personal robot market under the Swancor Qiyuan brand. The company launched the Qiyuan Q1, an 88-centimeter-tall, 15-kilogram personal robot designed for affordability and accessibility. Swancor CEO Tian Hua, formerly of Huawei and Agibot, emphasized the importance of standardized mass production to make consumer-grade robots widely available. The Qiyuan Q1 supports open SDK/HDK interfaces, modular design, and 3D-printed customization, aiming to define a new category in the trillion-RMB market for personal robots, which Tian believes will be the entry point of the AI era.
Swancor Qiyuan's entry into the personal robot market with an emphasis on affordability and mass production signals a critical shift in Asia's robotics landscape.
