Lianlian DigiTech Reports Strong H1 2026 Results
Lianlian DigiTech, a prominent AI-driven digital payment service provider based in China, announced strong interim results for the first half of 2026. The company reported a 25.9% year-over-year increase in Total Transaction Payment Volume (TPV) for global payments, reaching RMB 249.9 billion, with total revenue growing 11.9% to RMB 875.6 million. Adjusted operating profit more than doubled, surging 147.3% to RMB 156 million, driven by its "AI-Native + Globalization" strategy. Lianlian DigiTech also expanded its global regulatory footprint, securing 68 payment licenses and qualifications, including new licenses in Canada and Dubai, as it continues to integrate AI into its operations and expand its ecosystem partnerships.
Lianlian DigiTech's H1 2026 results underscore the growing maturity and profitability of AI-driven fintech in Asia. The significant increase in adjusted operating profit, coupled with robust TPV growth, highlights the effectiveness of embedding AI into core payment processes. This strategy not only enhances operational efficiency but also enables the development of innovative products like Agent Wallet, positioning Lianlian at the forefront of the evolving digital payment landscape. The expansion of its global regulatory footprint, particularly into markets like Canada and Dubai, signals a broader trend among Chinese fintech firms to diversify revenue streams and mitigate domestic market saturation and regulatory pressures by targeting international growth.
This performance also reflects the broader "AI-Native + Globalization" trend observed across various Chinese tech sectors, where companies leverage advanced AI capabilities to drive international expansion and competitiveness. For Asia's tech ecosystem, Lianlian's success demonstrates the potential for deep AI integration to unlock new value in established industries. It also indicates a strategic pivot towards high-value enterprise clients and B2B trade, suggesting a more sophisticated approach to market penetration beyond consumer-centric services. The prudent focus on core business growth and ecosystem partnerships will be crucial for sustaining this momentum amidst increasing global competition.
