UBTech’s full-size humanoid robot revenue jumps 1,445% in H1 2026
UBTech Robotics, a Hong Kong-listed company, announced its 2026 interim results, revealing a substantial surge in its full-size humanoid robot business. Total revenue for the first half increased 104.2% year-on-year to RMB 1.27 billion (USD 188.5 million). Revenue from full-size embodied humanoid robot products and services soared 1,445% to RMB 590.3 million (USD 87.6 million), making it the largest revenue source and accounting for 46.5% of group revenue. The company sold 921 units in this category, marking a 1,946.7% increase in sales volume. Despite this growth, UBTech remained loss-making, though its net loss narrowed by 23.0% to RMB 338.8 million (USD 50.3 million).
UBTech's dramatic 1,445% revenue jump in full-size humanoid robots to RMB 590.3 million (USD 87.6 million) in H1 2026 shows a clear shift from R&D to commercial deployment. The company's focus on industrial applications, with products like the Walker S2 and Cruzr Y1 deployed in automotive, logistics, and aviation, is paying off. This move from individual task validation to multi-robot collaboration in production lines, supported by its Thinker 1.0 foundation model and BrainNet 2.0 for coordination, suggests a maturing market for embodied AI in China's industrial sector. The expansion beyond hardware, including the acquisition of Zhejiang Fenglong Electric and a joint venture with MetaX for AI chips, points to UBTech's ambition to control more of the value chain. While the company remains loss-making, the narrowing net loss and improved gross margin reflect the higher profitability of its humanoid robot segment. The target of 10,000 full-size humanoid robots annually by 2026, backed by partnerships with Siemens for scaling production, indicates a strong push for market leadership in China and potentially broader Asia.
