Futurise and Sri Bestari Private School Launch Global Drone Arena to Inspire the Next Generation of Tech Talent
Sri Bestari Private School in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, has launched the Global Drone Arena, a dedicated facility for drone soccer and obstacle-based flight activities. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Futurise through its National Academy for Drone Sports Excellence (AKSADRON) program, aims to provide students with structured training and hands-on learning in drone technology. The arena serves as the training ground for the school's Drone Hero Programme, which began in June 2026, introducing students to drone fundamentals. Futurise's AKSADRON program supports Malaysia's drone sports ecosystem, guided by the National Drone Sports Strategic Roadmap (NADSAR), and has engaged over 20 stakeholder organizations to date.
The launch of the Global Drone Arena at Sri Bestari Private School in Malaysia, in partnership with Futurise, represents a tangible step in youth tech education. This facility, part of the AKSADRON program, brings drone sports and technology directly into the school environment. It offers students practical skills in areas like problem-solving, teamwork, and technical capabilities, which are crucial for future technology roles. Futurise's broader AKSADRON initiative has already reached over 10,000 participants and trained more than 2,000 students, showing a clear demand for such programs in Malaysia.
